Steve G Papermaster Nano

Steve G Papermaster, Nano founder and CEO, graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with highest honors, with concentrations in Business and Natural Sciences.

As a senior adviser to President George W. Bush, Mr. Papermaster was a member and co-chair of the President’s Council of Advisors for Science and Technology, the National Nanotechnology Initiative, the Human Genome Project, and the Stem Cell/Regenerative Medicine program. He was also the secretary of the Energy Advisory Board and served as a judge for the White House Fellows, one of the most prestigious programs for leadership and public service in America.

As well as being a public policy expert, Mr. Papermaster is a noted author and global speaker, regularly engaged to speak on topics including entrepreneurship, science, technology and China. He has spoken at recent events including those convened by the Global Humanitarian Forum, the World Economic Forum, Fortune magazine, MIT and Dreamforce.

Mr. Papermaster is also the founder, chairman and CEO of the Powershift Group and the co-founder and chairman of the Shanghai-based NGO JUCCCE. From 2007 to 2012, he was the founding chairman of Moxie Software. During this time, Mr. Papermaster raised more than $50 million and developed and built the company’s core management team and software. He made key acquisitions and led the company from start-up status to a concern boasting revenues in excess of $30 million. When it was time to move on, Mr. Papermaster chose the Yahoo CFO Ken Goldman to take over the running of Moxie Software.

In his leisure time, Mr. Papermaster enjoys Nordic and downhill skiing, marathon running, soccer and American football.
